eControl Beta Program

This year, Extundo Apps will introduce a number of smart phone applications that can be used to control home automation devices at home. To make the software ready for release, beta testers are needed.

The next public betas are expected to be made available soon and will offer support for the following mobile devices and home automaton systems:

• Apple iPhone and iPod running on iOS 5
• Windows Phone 7 phones
• MiCasaVerde Vera (incl. switches, dimmers, temperature sensors, humidity sensors, thermostats, ip-cams, security sensors etc.)
• PlugWise Source (incl. Circles, Scan and Sense)
• JBMedia/KlikAanKlikUit Light Manager (incl. switches and dimmers)
• Barthelme Chromoflex

If you own one or more of the mobile devices and home automation systems, this might increase your change to be picked out as one of the first participants.

To be able to give you access to beta versions of the software, you should also be willing to share information about your device (like the unique device id) and accounts linked to your mobile devices (e.g. your Apple id or e-mail address used). These information will be used to create certificates enabling the software to be installed on your device. There will never be asked for passwords or any other information that will prove access to privacy sensitive information.

To be placed on the list, you need to send an e-mail beta@extundo-apps.com in which you provide at least the following information:

The mobile devices on which you want to run the beta software incl. information about:

• Type e.g. Phone, Tablet or PMP
• Brand e.g. Apple
• Model e.g. iPhone 4S
• OS version, e.g. IOS 5.0

The home automation systems that will be used with the software incl. information about:

• Brand e.g. MiCasaVerde
• Model e.g. Vera 2
• Firmware version e.g. UI4 1.1.1245
• Connected devices (type, model, brand)

Some manufactures, in special Apple, allow beta software to be tested on a limited number of devices. For this reason you will also be asked to give a short motivation. Tell some things you like to share. For example how you and your family use home automation systems. Maybe you are a manufacturer of home automation equipment who is interested to test the application in combination with your own products.
